Rehabilitation is the process of regaining full function following injury via a prescriptive exercise therapy programme. Although exercise is the major causing factor for sustaining injuries, it is also the main component of rehabilitation. Exercise therapy incorporates all the basic components of fitness training, but in a very specific context:
All plans are individually tailored, and are provided directly via email, with pictures, descriptions and specific sets & reps dosage.
The rate of exercise progression will relate directly to the way in which your injury is responding to the treatment and the adherence to your rehabilitation plan.
Various pieces of equipment and kit can be utilised across rehabilitation exercises, such as resistance bands, medicine balls, dumbbells, kettlebells, self-massage balls & rollers, resistance fixed weight machines and general aerobic machines found in gyms such as cycling and rowing machines. If these are not available to you, then alternatives can be suggested, so don’t worry!
